"HoootRU"

"HoootRU" is the latest in a series of baby owls I started in 1996. None are the same save for dimensions. "HoootRU" is REALLY different than all others, however. The rest are in negative relief, while this piece is in positive relief. I used a lot of media and it is heavy. I believe you'll smile every time you look at it. "My" baby owls are difficult to accomplish. If you live within 200 miles of Raleigh, NC, I can personally deliver it and I'll also help you hang it if you so desire.

These mixed media paintings may have similar themes, however, all my works are originals and stand alone. These take a lot of material to make and thus they weigh more than a canvas painting. 10-16 lbs. is the normal range, though "HootRU" weighs 25 lbs. I do my best to show them photographically. This is never the same as standing in front and even touching these textual/relief pieces. They do elicit an impact; the reactions I have seen since 1996 when I started creating with my own mixed media format and in-Gallery showings usually register a high WOW! factor. Nearly 250 "In Gallery" sales to patrons around the world.
